So when asked about her association with the publication, she dated it back to her pageant days. She also fondly remembered how she won her first Filmfare award. “I don’t think too many people know of this but my association with Filmfare dates back to 1999. They had covered the entire event. What’s more special was when I won my first award, it was for the movie Varsham. It’s always been very special to me,” she said.
The actress made her acting debut in an uncredited role in Jodi (1999). She went on to make her proper debut in Ameer’s Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002) and then made her Telugu debut in Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu (2003). In Varsham, starring opposite Prabhas of Baahubali fame, Trisha won her first ever award. The film also went on to be a massive hit.
The actress at the press conference looked gorgeous in a Tommy Hilfiger black maxi dress. She teamed it up with Chanel heels and was styled by Shravya Varma.

On the work front, Trisha was last seen making her Malayalam debut in the film Hey Jude with Nivin Pauly. She has a slew of projects in the pipeline including Garjanai – the Tamil remake of the Hindi film NH10, horror thriller Mohini, Sathuranga Vettai with Arvind Swami, and 96 with Vijay Sethupathi.
