Millions of followers, supporters and VIPs came in to Rajaji Hall and then Marina beach to pay their respects to the late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. According to reports, Tamil star Ajith, who is known to be close to the former CM rushed from Europe to pay his respects.

Ajith was shooting for his upcoming movie in Europe and wasn’t able to make it in time to visit her at the Rajaji Hall, where the late CM’s mortal remains were placed. However, he cancelled his shoot and rushed to the city. In the below video shot by a fan, Ajith was seen along with his wife Shalini visiting the final resting place of his most adored ‘Amma’ in the late hours of December 6.

Many reports suggested that post the CM’s death, Ajith was one of her possible political successors. However, the star has not commented on his future political aspirations and is busy shooting for his upcoming projects. Do you think he will make a great political leader?
