South India’s evergreen actress Sridevi made a comeback with her movie ‘English Vinglish’ directed by Gauri Shinde. The movie being multi-lingual, it was a blockbuster hit. She was also seen in the Tamil movie ‘Puli’ alongside Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Shruti Haasan, and Hansika Motwani. After that, the actress is currently shooting for her upcoming movie named ‘Mom’, which is directed by newcomer Ravi Udyawar. The film which is being produced by Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor is slated to release on July 14th, 2017.

Pakistani actors Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui will also have pivotal roles to play. The shoot of the movie was delayed due to the ban on Pakistani artists post-Uri Attacks. Akshaye Khanna, Abhimanyu Singh, Pitobash Tripathi also have important roles to play.

Nawazuddn Siddiqui will also be seen sporting a meaty role in the movie. In an interview with the media, he said, “I signed the film around ten days ago and was blown away by the thriller’s script. Most of my scenes are with Srideviji. In my opinion, she is the best actress in the country. I have seen so many of her films, and ‘Sadma’ and ‘Chandni’ are my all-time favorites.”

The latest update on the movie is that Sridevi’s ‘Mom’ team has fixed a music director it is none other than ‘Isai Puyal’ A R Rahman. Originally made in Hindi, the film will also be simultaneously releasing in Telugu and Tamil on July 14 through Zee Studios.
