According to Tollywood.net, a complaint has been filed against her with the Chennai Police Commissioner on charges of prostitution and extortion of the money. Sri Reddy recently named several celebrities including AR Murugadoss, Raghava Lawrence, actor Srikanth and many more. Vishal Krishna, the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam and Karthi Sivakumar said that she has been warned.
A Silverscreen.in report states that Varahi, an actor and a practising lawyer, accused her of prostitution as she has openly claimed that she has slept with many filmmakers and actors. Justifying his complaint, he said that her actions have been tantamount to prostitution as she should have directly approached help and complained if she faced any casting couch.
It all began in March when Sri Reddy, a small-time actress, took to Facebook and accused few producers and actors of the casting couch. The first one to be named was filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. Sri Reddy also went to the extent of stripping in front of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce Office in Hyderabad to protest against sexual harassment and the prevalence of casting couch in Tollywood.
Meanwhile, speaking about the complaint, Sri Reddy claims that the complaint was never registered by the police. “How can you call it prostitution? It involves payment and I was never paid,” she said.
She has since expressed a desire to move to Chennai, moving away from her previous residence in Hyderabad.
