The first-look of Samantha Akkineni’s next film this year is out and it is chilling! Titled U-Turn, Samantha plays a journalist and her expression is a dead giveaway that the film will be one interesting thriller.

The film is a remake of a Kannada film of the same name that starred Shraddha Srinath. Samantha watched the film in January last year at a special screening in Bengaluru and immediately gave her nod. She was also rumoured to be a producer on the film.

A September 13th release, there’s much to look forward to! Directed by Pawan Kalyan, who directed the original, the film will have Samantha’s character investigate a series of deaths of motorists at a particular flyover. She has also been periodically uploading pictures from the sets of the film.

Samantha has had three releases this year already, all of which fared pretty well. Rangasthalam, Irumbu Thirai, and Mahanati released this year and has had Samantha performance praised. In the pipeline, she has Seema Raja with Sivakarthikeyan and Super Deluxe with Vijay Sethupathi.
