V K Sasikala, the close aide of Late Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, has been in the news continuously. She has recently been convicted and arrested in the Disproportionate Assets case; and will also be serving a jail term of 4 years. Ram Gopal Varma, the maverick filmmaker, has announced that he will be shooting a multilingual film which will be a biopic on V K Sasikala.  He has also mentioned the biopic will reveal “unimaginably shocking” information about Sasikala.

“Sasikala is going to be the story of what happened behind and in front of Sasikala and only ‘Manargudi mafia’ members will understand this,” he told the media. The project has been titled ‘Sasikala’ but no cast has been roped in yet. Ram also added that he will expose the true relationship between Jayalalithaa and Sasikala. “Sasikala is Don Vito Corleone of the Manargudi mafia family. She doesn’t even offer for you to refuse,” he added. The director, who is famous for making movies based on real life incident, said that ‘Sasikala’ will be a very sincere film shot right from the heart of a Tamilian. This will have nothing to do with fiction or non-politics.

“Truth behind Jayalalithaa and Sasikala relationship, from what Poes Garden servants told me, is unimaginably shocking and I will show it in my film,” he concluded. RGV is currently shooting another sequel of the popular ‘Sarkar’ franchise and it stars Amitabh Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead.
