According to The Times of India, the film has earned Rs 12 crores and counting and has been declared a blockbuster hit. The film is directed by debutant PS Mithran and is said to deal with data protection and privacy-related concerns. Vishal’s character is an army officer called R Kathiravan. Interestingly, when the Tamil version released last month, some of the film’s shows in Chennai were disrupted owing to BJP protesters cancelling the show as the film has references to Aadhaar data.
Samantha is on a roll these days, with three of her films being declared a hit including Rangasthalam and Mahanati. The latest is her beginning the dubbing work for Super Deluxe, a film starring Vijay Sethupathi. The actress recently uploaded an image of herself at the dubbing studio.

Super Deluxe, a Tamil film produced written and directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja. It features Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha Akkineni, Ramya Krishnan, Mysskin and Bagavathi Perumal.
The actress also has Seema Raja that stars Sivakarthikeyan. A village drama, Seema Raja is directed by Ponram. She also has U-Turn in Telugu and Tamil in the pipeline. Samantha will play the role of an investigative journalist who reports on the series of deaths of motorists at a particular flyover.
