Sakshi brother confirmed the great news, ‘It was decided before Sakshi left for Rio Olympics that they will get married. They (Sakshi and Satyawart) are getting married and it will be a huge affair. Satyawart trains here when he is not competing or in the national camp.’
Satyawart is two years younger to Sakshi who is now 24. Satyawart also comes from a family of wrestlers. His father Satyawan, was a renowned wrestler himself and runs an akhada in Rohtak. Satyawart, who competes in 97kg category, is considered a talented young wrestler and has won many international medals. He won silver at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow besides a bronze at the Asian Championships.
Satyawart was also the first to congratulate Sakshi on her Olympic win! He wrote ‘My Sweetheart #SakshiMalik You have made us proud,’ on his Facebook wall after her win.
