Child abuse is a growing problem in India and it’s every adult’s responsibility to give a secure world to their future generation. According to the UNICEF, child abuse is defined as, “physical and mental abuse and injury, neglect or negligent treatment, exploitation and sexual abuse. Violence may take place in homes, schools, orphanages, residential care facilities, on the streets, in the workplace, in prisons and in places of detention.” Ministry of women and child development in India released statistics where it is said that 150 million girls and 73 million boys under 18 have been subjected to forced sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual violence.

The Kerala State Commission for the protection of Child Rights joined hands with Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly to produce one of the most powerful messages talking about a social cause and it will truly make you awestruck. In the video, Nivin starts with a good quote saying that “only good things should be given importance. Bad and dangerous things should never be listened to.”

“For each dangerous cause, there are safety measures, just like there are safety measures for our body. Lips, Buttocks, chest and between the legs are your private parts and they are your safety spots too. When anyone else touches them, it means you are in danger.”
