South India leading lady Nayanthara is currently basking in the success of her latest hit Kaashmora with Karthi. She is also busy shooting for her Imaikaa Nodigal with Atharvaa Murali and Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap.

In her next untitled film, Nayanthara will be seen taking up social issues and play the role of a district collector. Vignesh and Ramesh, the two kids who shot to fame after the National Award winning movie Kakka Muttai, will also be seen in the movie. The film is said to deal with water crisis in the state. This is Nayanthara’s 55th film and the makers are planning a big release for the film’s title and first look on her birthday on November 18th.

Usually it is the heroes have this kind of promotions with Thala 57, Vijay 60 and Dhansuh 25 trending on social media. It is however a first for a south actress to get such a promotion. Nayan has loved talking the solo route with Nee Enge En Anbe, Maya and her next release, Dora. Nayanthara 55 is also a solo film where she will act as district collector.
