The bold and beautiful actress Nandita Das has called it quits with husband Subodh Maskara. While 2016 was a year of divorces, 2017 seems to be faster with the couple’s break up right in the beginning of the year. Nandita Das, who was married to a Television producer and entrepreneur Subodh Masakara for seven years is to file for divorce. She confirmed the news herself according to reports.

 

 

“Yes, it is true. Subodh and I have decided to separate. Thankfully, it is very amicable. Our son is our foremost priority and as parents of a delightful and sensitive child we request that his and our privacy be respected. There’s nothing to hide and there’s nothing more to be said.”, said the ‘Fire’ actress.

 

 

The couple have a six-year-old son and like the other celeb couples who broke up, these parents also requested the media to give them the privacy they need and added, “Separation is never easy, more so if you have a child. For us, our son is our main concern and we are committed to ensuring his well-being.”

 

 

She is known for bold works in revolutionary films like Earth, Fire and Bawandar in Bollywood and films like Azhagi and Kannathila Muthamittal in Tamil. Her directorial debut Firaaq won much critical and international acclaim and she is now working on her directorial feature ‘Manto’.
