Who said sports are only for boys?! Indian cricketer Mithali Raj has defied all myths about women and sports, becoming the country’s first woman to score a whopping 2000 runs in T20 Internationals!!

The sportswoman, during India’s seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the Women’s Asia Cup T20, she scored a 33-ball 23 in a 108-run chase while opening the batting. She managed to cross the mark taking a single off the bowling of Oshadi Ranasinghe in the sixth over of the chase, reports Cricbuzz.

Raj is now the seventh women cricketer to achieve the this feat, with the list lready headed by former England captain Charlotte Edwards (2605) while the current Windies and New Zealand captains, Stafanie Taylor and Suzie Bates, also have runs in excess of 2500.

It should be noted that the Indian on the list across genders includes Virat Kohli.
