Meera Jasmine To Put An End To Her Marriage?

Meera too joins the list of divorces in 2016?!

Popular actress Meera Jasmine is the latest to join the list of celebs who are headed for a divorce this year. The talented actress who was a name to reckon with in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu cinema took a break from her career after she got married to Anil John Titus in 2014. The actress did not believe in marriage earlier when she was in a relationship with a Musician Mandolin Rajesh. But to everyone’s surprise, Meera got married to the Dubai-based software engineer Anil in 2014.

Meera left to Dubai with her husband after her wedding, which paused her acting career. But the actress is back to India and resumed her acting career with the movie ‘10 Kalpanakal’ directed by editor-turned-director Don Max. She has played the role of a cop in the movie. She has also been a part of the movie ‘Poomaram’, which is ‘Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum’  actor Kalidas Jayaram’s Malayalam debut. In an interview, she has mentioned that she will pursue her career in acting and she can cope with the break that she had taken post-marriage.

According to reports, the reason for the couple’s split is because of Meera’s comeback in the films. The couple’s wedding had already made it to the headlines for various reasons. The couple got married under police protection as Anil was afraid of the relatives of his first wife who would break the wedding. Adding to that, the couple faced issues in registering their marriage as Anil had not legally divorced his first wife.

The couple has been living separately for almost a year but they have been close-mouthed about their split.

“I’m happy with whatever has happened in my life, whether it’s my career or my personal life. I’m 100 per cent happy with both. Happiness is what I create, not something others can create for me. You cannot decide what makes me happy. Some people like to go out all the time. They are happy that way, but my happiness lies in different things. I live for myself, and I’m perfectly happy with my decisions. Also, it’s not other people who should decide how many films I should do. It’s not about doing as many films as possible. You do one kind of film because you want to and for the experience of doing it, but the next time, you shouldn’t do the same kind of film. I have no set goal that I want to act in a 100 films. Some like biryani but I might like kanji and payar, why sympathize with me for not liking biryani? In their own spaces, everyone can be happy”, said the actress in an interview, when asked about the break in her career and marriage.
