Nikki Galrani as Marilyn Monroe in The 7 year Itch, Regina Cassandra as Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra, Taapsee Pannu as Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Shruti Haasan as Penelope Cruz in Frida; these are just some of the interpretations found in celebrity photographer Karthik Srinivasan’s Calendar. The entire calendar contains 24 images that is 12×2 sides of Indian cinema celebrities recreating Hollywood’s very best and Iconic film roles. The inspiration stemming from movies and scenes that made an impact, few images have also been inspired by animated films such as Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and more.

Speaking about the calendar Karthik Srinivas told us,

“This has been my dream for about 5 years now! I had a vision of this calendar back in 2013 to recreate my favourite hollywood’s iconic scenes that I had seen growing up. I finally sat down to it and I cannot be more proud of the results and happy with the support I received from the stars involved in the project!” Talking about the experience he added, “Of course it is a mammoth task to get so many stars to sit and shoot and get the right interpretation. At times it was a chance for me to show off my skills too with layer shooting. For example, the Cleopatra shot, I had to capture Regina, the Camel, the pyramids, separately. So many techniques and variant capture methods go into taking each shot. It is also a chance for me to show how much photography has changed through the ages and without adapting, it becomes irrelevant.” Well hats off to this photographer for managing the spectacular shoot, See the pictures here:
