Initially when the news of a famous Malayalam actress being abducted and molested came out, every finger was pointed towards Dileep who immediately clarified. He further added that he respects women and doesn’t take revenge on them based on personal enmity. However, a situation raised when the police interrogated, found out that the suspect was the primary accused and arrested the 48-year-old on July 10th. He was booked for rape, criminal conspiracy, wrongful confinement after the actress was forcefully restrained in her vehicle, driven around and sexually assaulted in Kochi.

Following this, Dileep’s wife and actress Kavya Madhavan has been under the light of the investigation. According to latest reports, Kavya is currently being drilled by the police. The investigation team, headed by Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) B. Sandhya, interrogated her at Dileep’s ancestral house in Aluva yesterday.

The prime accused ‘Pulsar’ Suni had told the investigation team that after committing the crime, he had come to Lakshya, an online marketing firm run by Kavya at Kakkanad in Kochi. Upon his statement, the police had conducted a raid at Lakshya. The Kerala High Court had on Monday rejected the bail plea of actor Dileep, who was arrested on conspiracy charges in the molestation case of a Malayalam actress.

According to the police report, the superstar was the main conspirator and had in 2013 offered Rs. 1.5 crore to Pulsar Suni, the main accused in this case and a driver who she sacked, to attack the actress. The actor had allegedly demanded the assault to be recorded on video and sent along with nude photographs of the actress.

The actor has denied any role in the attack. His lawyer told the court that Dileep has been trapped in a conspiracy scripted by “a very fertile imagination.”

After he was sent to prison in the molestation case, Dileep was expelled from the Association of Malayalam Movies Artistes (AMMA).
