Karthi Sivakumar, the lead in Mani Ratnam’s upcoming flick ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’, said that the emotions the love story will give will be as good as that of the super hit love story ‘Alaipayudhey’. Addressing the press, the ‘Paiyaa’ actor said, “Even before the shoot, Mani sir clearly told me, ‘I don’t want a boy, I want a man’.”

Many parts of media reported that this storyline might also have a terrorism back up just like the movie ‘Roja’ which starred Aravind Swamy and Madhubala. But, Karthi put aside all those rumors and said, “Kaatru Veliyidai deals with human relationships, it’s a love story between a fighter pilot and doctor.”

The ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu’ fame Ravivarman will be the Director of Photography for this movie. Majority of the scenes were shot in Kashmir. Produced by Sri Thenandal Films, the movie is expected to release on the 7th of April, 2017. The music director is none other than ‘Isai Puyal’ A R Rahman and his first single ‘Azhagiye’ is already a super-hit among the audience. His next song ‘Vaan’ will be released on Valentine’s Day.
