After almost two decades, actor Mammootty is all set to make his come back to Telugu film industry through ‘Yatra’, a biopic on YS Rajasekar Reddy, the late Chief Minister. The movie is titled ‘Yatra’ and is directed by Mahi V Raghav.

The director said that the film will focus on the 1500 km of a journey across Andhra Pradesh by YSR. He said that he had waited five months for Mammooty to accept the role. The director also said that he chose Mammootty as he can pull of the strong character of YSR. It seems that the actor was his first choice for the role.

Mahi also said that there are many inspiring instances from the life of YSR Reddy which will make the movie interesting and that he wants to focus on that in particular. Director Mahi V Raghav is a prominent director of Telugu film industry and has delivered blockbusters like Anado Brahma and Paathshala.
