Suriya married Jyothika in the year 2006 and has been her confidante since then. Suriya and Jyothika first met on the sets of ‘Poovellam Kettupaar’ in the year 1999. It was during the shooting of ‘Kaakha Kaakha’, the love blossomed between the two and the announcement of their engagement was made.

Suriya and Jyothika are proud parents of two beautiful kids namely Diya (9) and Dev (6). When Jyothika made a comeback to the industry with her superhit movie ’36 Vayadhinile’, Suriya was the producer of the film. Her upcoming movie ‘Magalir mattum’ is also being produced by Suriya.

We all know how adorable the couple has been. The duo has also been together for 11 years now. It’s quite hard to find a strong marriage in today’s generation. Jyothika recently attended Coffee with DD and all that she spoke about her love for her husband is truly the most adorable.

During the interview, she said,”If my son receives even half the characteristics of Suriya, I am truly the luckiest. Love is selflessness and quality and Suriya has them all. He respects me and protects my character. I always share my problems and my happiness with Suriya.”

Jyothika was last seen in the movie ‘Chekka Chivandha Vaanam’ which was a multicast film directed by Mani Ratnam. She is reported to have signed a film with suriya, Karthi and a women-centric script. No reports have been confirmed on that yet.
