Naachiyaar will be dubbed in Telugu, titled Jhansi, so as to cater to the Telugu audience. It is reported that Bala wanted to remake the film in Telugu with Anushka Shetty, but it didn’t materialise. Considering how large Jyothika’s fan following is, the makers are releasing the dubbed version instead.
The film also stars GV Prakash. With music by Ilaiyaraaja, the film is jointly bankrolled by Bala’s home production banner, B Studios, along with EON Studios.
Jhansi would mark yet another popular film that gets a Telugu release, albeit dubbed version. Recently, Vishal Krishna’s Abhimanyudu was released and generated a good response. Similarly, Thaana Serndha Koottam was released in Telugu as Gang and did well.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Jyothika has Kaatrin Mozhi, the remake of the Hindi film Tumhari Sulu in the pipeline. She will also be seen in Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, which is likely to release in September.
