Music director turned actor GV Prakash will play the male lead alongside Jyothika in Director Bala’s next. According to reports, Kollywood Queen Jyothika will be doing her next film with ‘Pithamagan’ fame director Bala. The ’36 Vayadhinile’ fame actress will be taking up another brave role in this movie. Reportedly, Jyothika’s husband and Kollywood star Suriya Sivakumar is all set to produce the film. Reports also claim that Suriya has already allotted separate office space for story discussion and soon, one can expect an official confirmation.

Jyothika has completed shooting for ‘Magalir Mattum’ directed by the ‘Kuttram Kadidhal’ fame director Bramma and is currently taking a break. She was last seen in the movie ’36 Vayadhinile’ alongside Rahman. The movie ‘Magalir Mattum’ will be produced by none other than Suriya Sivakumar and his production house ‘2D entertainment’. According to reports, Jyothika was very much a part of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s next directed by Atlee. But, due to various reasons, the actress had to drop out of the movie and Nithya Menon has replaced her for the role.

Director Bala’s last movie was ‘Tharai Thappattai’ starring Kollywood actor Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. The movie’s music was scored by none other than Maestro Ilayaraja. G V Prakash was last seen in the movie ‘Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru’ alongside Nikki Galrani and Anandhi. RJ Balaji and Prakash Raj also played pivotal roles in the film directed by ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’ fame M.Rajesh.
