A few days ago, Dhanush took to twitter to reveal that the sequel for the hit film Velai Illa Pattathari was being made. However, there were no details about how much of the original cast was going to be retained for the project. In the meantime, it was also revealed that Gautami was approaching actors such as Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan to launch her daughter Subbalakshmi in the film industry.
Now, reports reveal that Dhanush and Soundarya Rajnikanth have zeroed in on Subbalakshmi as the heroine for the sequel. VIP 2 has dialogues by Dhanush and Soundarya on screenplay and direction. Sources say that Vivekh and Samuthirakani are also likely to be seen in the sequel.
