Bollywood director, choreographer and actor Farah Khan vented out her anger at the suggestions of a new surrogacy bill that has been proposed in the Parliament. Farah, mother of triplets, had them at the age of 43 through IVF pointed out the flaws and loopholes in the proposed bill. She said the bill did not aim at protecting the rights or safeguarding women who opted to be surrogates and neither did it have any clauses which could guard them against exploitation. She attacked the govt by saying that, ‘So now you are telling us what to eat, you are telling us what to wear and now you are telling us when to have children too.’

she also opposed the government’s bill on grounds that it was willing to give the option of having children to only married couples and only after five years of marriage.

‘You can’t say only married couples can have children that too only after five years of marriage.’

Parliamentarian Sushma Swaraj even made a remark about SRK while supporting the government’s bill. she said, it has become a trend for celebrities to have children via surrogacy even when they were parents to not one but two children.

Many Bollywood celebrities have come out against the proposed surrogacy bill. Kareena Kapoor Khan who is noow preganant with her fist child with husband, Saif Ali Khan said that people who could not have children should have the opportunity to do so. Celebrities like Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Tusshar Kapoor have had children via surrogacy.
