For a few weeks now, it has been speculated that Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been planning their wedding. While they haven’t officially confirmed this, multiple reports suggest that they will do so sometime in the near future. However, a new development is doing the rounds stating that their wedding is likely to get postponed because Deepika is still a little apprehensive about getting married.

According to DNA, Deepika, who was in a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor years ago, was unable to move on easily after their break-up. While she has mentioned many times that she can never stop loving him, she found love again in Ranveer Singh. According to reports, Deepika hasn’t really been able to make peace with her past.

Weeks ago, it was reported that Ranveer and Deepika were likely to have a winter wedding. Considering how they have been dating for a while now, ever since they met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela in 2013, reports state that they have been considering marriage for some time.

Deepika, who is the daughter of former badminton player Prakash Padukone, and Ranveer Singh’s family were likely to have begun the wedding prep already. While the two have never officially confirmed their relationship, they have never denied it either and have been known to shower attention on each other in public and on social media.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh has several projects in the pipeline including Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy and Kabir Khan’s ’89. Deepika, who was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, hasn’t signed her next project yet. Her film with Irrfan Khan (to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj) has been put on hold till Irrfan returns after his treatment for Neuroendocrine Tumour.

If the wedding turns out to be true, Deepika will join her other contemporaries such as Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor as top actresses who pursue their careers even after getting married.
