The highest paid actress in India, just increased her fee and it is 12.65 crore! Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. This is the third time Deepika is collaborating with Bhansali and her third movie with Ranveer Singh. The two have earlier acted in Bhansali’s Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani, both the movies were blockbuster hits. Deepika is naturally on the top of her game after all her recent outings in the past few years have been hits- Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, Ram Leela, Happy New Year, Piku, Tamasha and Bajirao Mastani.

Deepika will also appear in the Vin Diesel’s franchise, XXX. Deepika plays Vin Diesel’s love interest in the XXX, Return Of Xander Cage, which is releasing next year. After her Hollywood outing, Deepika has considerably hiked her fee and producers are more than happy to pay her for as she has delivered stunning hits in the past year.

 

Even though this is a good news for Deepika as she is the highest paid actress in Bollywood, you will not believe how the actors gets. Salman Khan, the highest paid actor in Bollywood, is paid a whopping 60 crore for each movie. That’s nearly a 4 fold jump! Producers are blind not to see this huge wage disparity between actors and actresses. We believe with the surge in female-centric films being made in Bollywood, this gap will considerably reduce in the coming years.
