The year seems to be going really great for Alia Bhatt. The young actress is making waves with her de-glamourous role in Udta Punjab which will hit the theaters on June 17. While everyone was guessing who will act opposite Siddharth Malhotra in Mukesh Bhatt upcoming movie Aashiqui 3, he confirmed it would be Alia! “Yes, it is true. We have signed Sidharth and Alia for the film. They completely fit the role. When we make films, we look for the perfect casting. They both fit the bill,” said Bhatt to PTI.

 

 

This will be the third installment in the Aashiqui series! The first one was released in 1990 starring Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal and the second one released in 2013! Both the movies were massive hits and expectations are really high on the third one! The movie will be directed by Alia’s cousin Mohit Suri and it would be interesting to see if this will also be a tragic love story!

Looks like Alia is on top of most of the directors’ list of favorite actresses this year! Great going girl!
