5 ways to declutter your closet!

Letting go hurts, but it helps you decide between what you want and what you need.

If you’ve had a heap of clothes crashing down on your head and you’ve had a hard time finding the right outfit from the mountain of clothes. Here’s a list of things you need to eliminate to DE clutter your overflowing closet.


1. Anything that you don’t love or need:

If you don’t love it or need it, there is no reason it should take up a huge chunk of space in your closet.It’s time to put the saying, “Out with the old and in with the new,” to use.

2. Anything that is too small or too big:

Clothes for which you’ll have to suck your tummy in, pieces that have to be mended, ill-fitting bras, your high school jeans that should have never made it out of high school, those gorgeous shoes in which you can barely walk, and of course the sentimental outfits that don’t fit anymore- take the hint and donate it now!

3. Anything you have multiples of:

You don’t have to stock up on the same shade to make a style statement. It’s time to detox your collection and cut down on the multiples because one cream cardigan will really do.

4. Anything that is not yours:

Anything of your exes, shoes that don’t belong to you and anything that is just not yours to keep shouldn’t be in your closet, unless you’re sharing your closet with someone.

5. Anything that you can’t wear anymore:

Clothes that are tattered, stained or have holes, pieces purchased during your vacation which you can’t wear where you live,shoes that blister your feet and anything with a strange smell that won’t wash out, definitely do not belong in your closet.
