This is the story of childhood sweethearts, Jai (Sidharth) and Diya (Katrina) and how their relationship unravels through the course of time. Which is technically not time that is passing by, just some time travelling that Jai gets to do to understand the importance of the ‘little’ moments in life.
Jai and Diya have been together since the day they met. When they come of age, the next step is to eventually get married and start a family. While Diya is all invested in the relationship, Jai is more angled towards his love for Mathematics and his ambitions. After a fall-out before the day of the wedding, Jai tells Diya that he doesn’t want this life, that his dreams and aspirations are more important to him. The series of “sleeping and waking up” then show his life’s ‘highlights’ which eventually lead to him losing his love and his family. So, he is sent back in time to make amends and like any Bollywood movie, the hero gets the girl and they live happily ever after.
