Dhanush recently released the audio of his latest production, Amma Kannakku, which stars Amala Paul in the lead. Speaking at the event Dhanush said, ‘Generally, I do not attend media meets of my own  production ventures to ensure that my actors and director should enjoy the limelight. But for Amma Kannakku, I called my executive producer and personally confirmed my presence because I’m proud to be associated with this film.’ He also said that this is Amala’s best film so far. ‘Amala Paul has been asking about my comment on her performance, this your career best Amala. I can confidently say that she hasn’t done anything like this before.’

It is a known fact that Dhanush is a huge fan of Ilayaraja and he said it is an honor to have the legend compose music for one of his productions. He also said that, Amala must be proud that she will have Raja Sir’s music for her close-up shots. The film is a remake of the hit Hindi movie, Nil Battey Sannata and has Amala play the mom of a 14-year-old.
