One of the popular couples of Kollywood, Amala Paul and A.L. Vijay are planning to file for divorce. The marriage has hit the rocks after the actress and the director seems to have a lot of differences over what they want in life. It is said that the main reason for their split is Vijay’s parents, who want Amala to quit her acting career. In this age where women are skillfully managing their professional and personal lives, it is tough for Amala to obey her in-law’s wishes. Amala is a talented actress and has a bright future in the film industry with many films lined up this year. It looks like her husband is also not supporting her. Responding to a leading daily, A.L. Vijay said,
‘I don’t want to talk anything about it. I will abide by my parent’s decision.’
He has confirmed that there are some outstanding issues with their marriage but did not reveal any details. Both of them are currently busy with their respective films. Amala Paul has signed numerous movies this year including Dhanush’s trilogy, Vada Chennai. Vijay on the other hand is busy finishing up his trilingual Devi with Tamannaah and Prabhudeva.
Amala Paul and A.L Vijay met at the sets of Deiva Thirumagal in 2011 and fell in love. They announced that they were getting married in 2014 and it has been two years since they are married. Their divorce news has come as a shock to many of their fans and the industry.
