Her most expect release is definitely the Savithri biopic which has Keerthy Suresh and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. Her last for the year is ‘Rangasthalam’ alongside Ram Charan Teja. According to the latest reports, the final movie is with Sivakarthikeyan which is directed by Ponram. Siva has already done ‘Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam’ and ‘Rajini Murugan’ with Ponram.
While it will be interesting to see Samantha and Sivakarthikeyan together, there is another brilliant news to this. As reported earlier, yesteryear dream girl Simran has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Sivakarthikeyan’s new film with director Ponram. Now we learn that Simran plays the antagonist in the film along with Malayalam actor Lal while Napoleon will be seen as Sivakarthikeyan’s dad.
RD Raja’s 24 AM Studios is bankrolling the film, which will have music composed by Imman and Balasubramaniem takes care of the visuals. The film also has extensive VFX work for which the team has signed RC Kamalakannan of Puli and Baahubali 2 fame.
Sivakarthikeyan and director Ponram’s new rural comedy entertainer is likely to commence from June 16. Samantha is playing the romantic interest of Siva in the film and she was undergoing training in Silambam for her role. Soori, who played the comic relief in Ponram’s previous two hits ‘Rajini Murugan’ and ‘Varudha Padatha Valibar Sangam’ fame has been once again roped in to play a prominent role in this yet-untitled film.
