Looks like while the entire (almost) world is fighting for women empowerment, yesteryear actress Neena Gupta is far from it. Recently at a shoot she spoke to NDTV and said she doesn’t believe in women empowerment. Here’s what she exactly said, ” “I don’t believe in women empowerment. I believe that a woman has to be second to a man otherwise it doesn’t work.”
Many people around social media are quiet surprised with her comment, especially because she was the epitome of courage in the 80s when she had her daughter Masaba Gupta out of wedlock, challenging the moral police. So, this comment now has not been appreciated by both men and women across the online world.
Adding to that, Neena also said that because women were housewives earlier, the divorce rates were low and now that they’re independent it has gone up!
We have nothing to say on this!
