We all know what a handsome man Madhavan is! We also knew he debuted in the Mani Ratnam classic Alaipayuthey. But did you know that was not his first on-screen appearance? We present some interesting tidbits about the chocolate boy that you did not know!

Madhavan made a small cameo appearance in the 1996 Hindi film, Raat Ki Subhah Nahi.
Mani Ratnam first chose Madhavan to play a prominent role in Iruvar (1997) but later dropped him as he felt Madhavan was too young for the role.
In 1997 Maddy appeared as an Indian cop in the Hollywood production Inferno.
Remember Sea hawks? The popular series on Sony way back in 1998, Madavan played the role of the ship’s captain. That was his first TV stint.
