Sivakarthikeyan and director Ponram’s new rural comedy entertainer is likely to commence from June 16. Samantha is playing the romantic interest of Siva in the film and she was undergoing training in Silambam for her role. Soori, who played the comic relief in Ponram’s previous two hits ‘Rajini Murugan’ and ‘Varudha Padatha Valibar Sangam’ fame has been once again roped in to play a prominent role in this yet-untitled film, which will be produced by RD Raja of 24 AM Studios.

Imman is composing the music for the film and he has already delivered three songs while the team has roped in Balasubramniem to crank the camera. The shoot will happen around Tenkasi and surrounding locales.

Samantha is currently working on six other films excluding this one. She is shooting for ‘Irumbu Thirai’ alongside Vishal and Arjun, followed by Thiagarajan Kumararajan’s ‘Aneedhi Kadhaigal’ starring Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Fazil. She is also shooting for ‘Vijay 61’ starring Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Nithya Menon, Kajal Aggarwal and Vadivelu followed by ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ starring Nagarjuna. Her most expect release is definitely the Savithri biopic which has Keerthy Suresh and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. Her last for the year is ‘Rangasthalam’ alongside Ram Charan Teja.
