December 5th was a day that broke a million hearts across Tamil Nadu when the news of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa’s demise hit the headlines . The ‘Iron Lady of TN’, or fondly known as ‘Amma’ was battling severe respiratory complications.
The CM, who was admitted in Apollo hospital, Chennai since September 22, suffered a cardiac arrest on December 4th; Post which her condition was being monitored by an expert team of pulmonologists and cardiologists. She has now been laid to rest beside her mentor M.G. Ramachandran.
Life has not always been a bed of roses for the political leader and as we remember the Iron lady of TN, we look at the times she’s proved she’s a fierce fighter and a survivor.
