Baahubali 2 is a movie to be watched with care. The movie holds a lot of potent meaning hidden within even the simplest of the scenes. Baahubali 2 smashed records and crossed a whopping Rs 1500 crore at the box office. SS Rajamouli, the director of the movie, took a lot of care to get even the tiniest details perfect.

One such hidden meaning in Baahubali 2 were the tilaks (bindis) worn by the characters. Each bindi was different and each held a significant meaning.

Mahendra Baahubali wears a serpent symbol for his tilak. The serpent is a favored creature by Lord Shiva. The serpent symbolizes Mahendra’s devotion for the Lord. It is said that Mahendra was even considered as an incarnation of Lord Shiva.
