50 shades of Black at Golden Globes

Who made the best statement? Literally…

When Hollywood decided to show solidarity and stand by its womenfolk we were all up for it. When we heard they are doing it in style, dressed in all black we were excited!

These A-listers showed they are made of more than just stardust… substance also, when they opted for black ensembles standing by the #MeToo movement; a movement against sexual abuse that plagued Hollywood last year. Here’s to standing by Oprah Winfrey like she said, “Let’s hope nobody has to say #MeToo again”.

Beautifully black: Reese Witherspoon, Eva Longoria, Salma Hayek and Ashley Judd (Left to Right)

A visibly teary-eyed Reese presented the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award to Oprah Winfrey that night.

Picture Perfect: America Ferrara, Natalie Portman, Emma Stone and former tennis champion Billie Jean King. (Left To Right)

Empowerment was the writing on the wall with Emma Stone accompanying Billie Jean King as her plus one for the eve.

Margot Robbie, Mandy Moore, and singer Kelly Clarkson. (Left To Right)

Some celebs added a splash of colour to show solidarity in style!

Millie Bobby Brown, Nicole Kidman and Jessica Biel. (Left To Right)

Kidman won the first award of the night, ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Television movie’ for her role as a victim of domestic violence in Big Little Lies. She dedicated her win to her castmates, daughters, and mother, saying: “Wow, the power of women.”

Kendall Jenner, Angelina Jolie, and Jessica Chastain. (Left to Right)

Joined togetherĀ in black these ladies shone on the red carpet.

Penelope Cruz, Mariah Carey, and Claire Foy.

Singers stood by Black too with Mariah Carey topping the list in this gorgeous coal gown.

Men at the Golden globesĀ donned black suits too with some of them wearing the ‘Time’s Up’ pin to show they are with their fellow stars on this one.
